Dear Community Partner,
Attached please find an invitation for the conference titled, “Sistahs, Sexuality and Mental Health Wellbeing” that will take place on Friday, April 28th 2017 10am – 2pm at the Department and Water and power located at 4030 Crenshaw Blvd., Los Angeles. This project emerged from partnerships between UCLA, Healthy African American Families (HAAF), Los Angeles Women’s Collaborative on HIV/AIDS, Fox Hills Ladera Health Family Association, Oasis Clinic, and I Choose Life in efforts to address the increase in sexually transmitted infections and diseases (STIs/STDs) that are occurring among Africa American women aged 50+.
The purpose of this conference is to invite key stake holders to discuss research findings from a recent series of dialogue groups to discuss topics about sexual health practices and mental health well-being as it pertains to aging. We hope that you will attend to hear our dynamic panel of speakers and actively participate in development of a special project.
Please distribute the flyer to your networks. If you have any questions feel free to contact April Thames, PhD by phone (310) 206-9296 or via email: firstname.lastname@example.org.
Hope you are able to attend.
